Karnata Empire
The Karnata Empire or Karnataka Empire (Karnata Rajya) is an alternate name for the Vijayanagara Empire. This name has been used in some important Vijayanagara inscriptions[1][2] and literary works of the Vijayanagara times including the Sanskrit work Jambavati Kalyanam by King Krishnadevaraya and Telugu work Vasu Charitamu.[3]
